Jason & Kim Job
Jason studied at the Australian Centre for Mission Aviation based at Coldstream. After a year's study at Bible College Victoria in 2009, he obtained his private pilot's licence and commenced study for his commercial pilot's licence.
Jason, Kim and Samuel are now living in Yirrkala, an indigenous community, where they seek to demonstrate God's love to those around them. Jason serves the aboriginal people by daily flying them to and from their homeland communities. This includes being part of funeral celebrations, as bodies need to be transported to remote places in order for people to say goodbye and perform the relevant ceremonies. In his first week of flying, he has had two of these trips already. Kim enjoys looking after one year old Samuel each day. They are currently getting to know their local neighbours and considering how they can be more involved in the Yirrkala community.
Jason and Kim both have experience in cross-cultural mission. Jason's parents served in Papua New Guinea when he was a boy and he has worked with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in the United States, while Kim has served in Ethiopia with Serving In Missions (SIM).
