What's happening at Canterbury Gardens Community Church?

Children

Children are special people at our church and we have some great activities for them.

Playgroups

We provide a large, well-equipped venue where young families from our community and church family, enjoy many and varied activities each week.

Playgroup enables children to develop and grow socially, physically and mentally in a safe and loving environment.  We endeavour to address their spiritual need in a non-confronting way.  We provide a lending library which contains Christian books, DVDs and videos for children and parents.  We sing some Christian songs at music time and sing grace before snack time.  Helpers share their experience of God as the Holy Spirit gives opportunity and through our love for each other. Parents are also cared for and made to feel welcome.

Playgroup is for children up to pre-kinder age and operates each week during the school term on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday between 9:30 am and 11 am. Enrolment is essential to ensure a place for your child.

We consider it a privilege and joy to be involved in this ministry and give glory to God for our positive reputation in the community.

King's Club

Meeting on Sunday mornings during the 10:30 am service, children aged between pre-school to secondary school leave the service after about 40 minutes to commence King's Club together. Then after a time of singing they divide into classes where they participate in activities and learn from capable teachers.

King's Club operates during the school term. Alternate activites for children are also organised during school holiday periods depending on availability of staff.
